PSYCHOLOGICAL COACHING AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT
By recognizing the importance of promoting personal and professional development, GIAP strengthens its portfolio of activities with Psychological Coaching and Career Development Service. This individual monitoring, in a dynamic process of development and learning in action, is based on the exploitation of potentials and limitations when defining a personalized scheme for skill and competence development, personal and professional goals and action plans.

Job Application Appointments/Career Development Workshops
Individual sessions/workshops/seminars in order to promote employability of P.PORTO candidates, particularly in regards to the application process (preparing and mobilizing CV and Job Application Letters ou Covering Letters) and the preparation for the selection processes (Interviews, Tests and Assessment Centres). GIAP regularly goes to P.PORTO’s Schools with the CV15 activity, which takes place indoors or outdoors spaces. GIAP provides 15-minute individual sessions, free of charge and without the need for prior registration.

MENTORES P.PORTO@EMPREGABILIDADE E GESTÃO DE CARREIRA (Career Mentoring Programme)
This initiative seeks to create meeting and mutual knowledge sharing experiences among P.PORTO graduates (mentors) and students enrolled in their final year (mentees), leading to positive professional integration processes. The mentors are P.PORTO graduates, who are professionally active and with over 2 years experience that informal but persistently may serve as a reference and inspiration for the mentees: to reflect on their skills and academic journey; to identify needs, insecurities and challenges; to maximize their potential and improve their performance; to increase knowledge about the labor market; and strengthen their network of contacts.
COLLABORATION AND EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION GRANTS PROGRAMME
In addition to other existing social support, as well as incentives for student involvement in training experiences in real work environments, P.PORTO developed the On-Campus Internship Programme (Bolsas De Colaboração E Cooperação Educativa). This program contributes to the improvement of services provided by P.PORTO while allowing students to collaborate on activities, projects or actions promoted by the Schools and P.PORTO’s Presidency and assigns a financial support grant.

GIAP’s initiative was inspired by the romantic concept of speed dating and promotes a 10-minute meeting of between companies and candidates from P.PORTO - received in an environment with music and coffee service. From an organizational perspective, this is a unique opportunity to meet competent and highly motivated P.PORTO candidates, and the service structure offers them considerable efficiency gains in the recruitment process. From the applicants’ point of view, this fortnightly initiative offers direct and privileged contact opportunities with employers, which may result in research projects /internships/employment.

This an annual event in the area of employability and career management, with four distinct formats: "10 minutes with ..." (Companies); "15 minutes to ..." (technical experts in supporting the development of employability potential); promotion of "forum-debate"; and "meetups" (P.PORTO’s Community and Companies)
