During the month of June she had the opportunity to contact with several researchers of the Centre for Co-operative Studies and to participate in a member of field trips, with other Irish, French and Scottish researchers. The visits took place during the first two weeks of June focusing mainly on agricultural cooperatives, but it also included visits to credit unions and cooperatives dealing with the distribution of organic products.
Under the international project "Cooperative Business and Innovative Rural Development: Synergies between commercial and academic partners (C-Bird)” the Centre for Co-operative Studies at University College Cork, Ireland, is organizer a number of international research seminars taking place between 7 and 15 July. Marisa Ferreira was part of the panel of speakers, on July 10th, with a presentation entitled "The Portuguese Third Sector - an overview", where Irish, French, Spanish, Bulgarian and Serbian researchers were present.
