Nesta unidade curricular os estudantes têm a possibilidade de contactar com organizações e personalidades com atividade relevante em áreas avançadas da Engenharia Informática e de conhecer o que é realizado ao nível da Inovação e da Investigação com o intuito de os treinar para a identificação e desenvolvimento das temáticas a abordar nos seus trabalhos finais de mestrado.
A próxima aula decorre já amanhã dia 21 de novembro das 18h30 às 20h30 com a presença de Valter Fernandes com a apresentação: “Gerir à Velocidade da Informação”.

Valter Fernandes, Multipeers Product Owner at ITPeers
Through various implementation projects on customers of a broad range of areas such as retail, production, public management, health, etc, Valter became responsible to learn the business reality, focusing on operation management processes. By this experience, Valter’s role is shared between managing implementation projects of a BAM product, helping customers to have fast decision-making responses to realtime operation problems and to idealize business indicators that can improve those daily operations. His work is complemented by specifying new product features that will allow a more robust solution to customer needs.
Graduated at ESTG Felgueiras in IT Engineering, he collaborated with INESC Porto on the end of course project where he was part of a project which had to consider customer needs to help everyday problems on production scheduling.
He then started working at ITPeers where he started as a product developer. It became clear that his business side and customer orientation would help on the creating of a solution rather than just implementing a product and so became the responsible of Multipeers implementation projects. With the customer interaction, and general market needs, he started specifying product features and road maps, acting as the communication agent between customer/market and ITPeers management and development teams.
