A aula que decorre dia 27 de novembro tem como convidado Ali Shoker fará a apresentação: Automotive Cybersecurity: Scope, Challenges, and Opportunities.
Na unidade curricular de Seminário de Projeto, os estudantes têm a possibilidade de contactar com organizações e personalidades com atividade relevante em áreas avançadas da Engenharia Informática e de conhecer o que é realizado ao nível da inovação e da investigação com o intuito de os treinar para a identificação e desenvolvimento das temáticas a abordar nos seus trabalhos finais de mestrado.
Ali Shoker Head of Cybersecurity Research & Innovation at VORTEX CoLab. His research is currently focused on automotive cybersecurity topics, but his interests span several domains including systems, clouds, edge/fog, networks, blockchain, etc. He obtained his PhD on Adaptive Byzantine Fault Tolerance (today knows as Blockchain/DLT) in 2012 from Toulouse University, France. Before joining VORTEX, Ali spent some time at EPFL system’s group, INSA de Lyon, and INESC TEC. He published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and technical reports on BFT, malicious attacks resilience, rational attacks, anonymous communication, Blockchain, data management, cloud/edge/fog computing, etc. Ali has been main contributor in several H2020 and national projects like: H2020 ECSEL InSEcTT, H2020 LightKone, H2020 Syncfree, SoCEDA (ANR, France), TEC4GROWTH (FCT, Portugal), etc. Ali is (co-)supervising three PhD students. He is serving on the reviewing board and Program Committee of several journals and conferences in the fields of distributed system, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Ali has also teaching experience in Blockchain and Distributed Systems, and he is the founder of the Successful Systems in Production PhD CU at MAP-I, Portugal. |
